Dear Parents and Friends,

Welcome to the new John F. Kennedy Memorial School Website. We hope you enjoy your visit.  Please make sure to check back regularly, as many of the pages are updated on a regular basis.  We like to publish our pupils'  work and there are also many photographs in the Project Page.  The information section is very useful for parents and the news section will keep everyone up to date with all that goes on in our very busy school. It is wonderful to have this modern facility to keep everyone updated and informed about our school and its activities. We have many ambitious plans for ICT in the school and in the community. Hopefully this website is only the begining.

ICT IN JFK ... An update

Our Vision for the future

Last year we outlined some of our aims for ICT in JFK. After the great support our fundraising campaign received the school has now purchased

• Ten interactive Whiteboards
• 2 digital cameras
• 1 digital camcorder
• Software for the learning support and resource department.

This year 2009-2010 the school has installed a classroom computer in each classroom, and we look forward to using them in our working and learning in Scoil JFK.

OUR AIMS

• Update the technology in the school to the highest possible standards
• Achieve quality education through enhanced productivity and opportunity
• Bring the whole community together to boost the IT skills of students, parents and members of the community through access to certified computer training courses that give them globally recognised qualifications

OUR OBJECTIVES

• Equip each classroom with an Interactive Whiteboard
• Equip each classroom with a pc and printer
• Achieve the Digital School Award
