Thank You to our Parents Association

On my own behalf and behalf of all the staff and pupils of Scoil JFK, I wish to acknowledge and thank our Parents Association for their huge contribution to to our school during the year.

Led by their Chairman Ken Costelloe, Treasurer Anita Stack and Secretary Michelle Winthrop they have given their time willingly to organise many fund raising events e.g. The Family Quiz, Carol Singing and The Fun Run

They are also responsible for organising catering on the Communion and Confirmation mornings and for 6th class graduation, ensuring all the parents have a cup of tea/coffee at these events and making the occasion more pleasurable for all.

This year the PA contributed €8500 from their various fundraising activities to the school which has been used in providing the following resources and activities for the pupils.

Accelerated Reading Programme (funded 50% of cost)

Selection Boxes for Choir at Christmas

Fun Run Expenses

Ice Cream Van on Fun Run day

Fun Run Prizes

Hurling Helmets

New basketball strip

Sports Equipment

Planetarium (funded 50% of cost)

Pottery Classes

Pizzas for 6th class Graduation

Recycle Right Campaign(Class Prize Cinema tickets)

This contribution is hugely important for the school and I would like to take this opportunity to encourage parents to become involved with the PA as ultimately it is your sons who benefit.

Again many thanks to all who have helped out this year, I am truly grateful.

Wishing you a very happy summer holiday.

Kind Regards

Theresa O Sullivan
